Kanata Montessori School needs musical instruments

Do you have an instrument to donate?

Our girls attend the Kanata Montessori elementary school. There was recently a fire at the school that affected the music portable. The music teacher, Mr. Beatty, lost many of the instruments as well as all of his personal notes.

We would love to help out by organizing a donation drive to help the school get more instruments for their music program.

What instruments are needed?

The instruments that are needed the most are smaller instruments that are used for the younger grades. If you have a children's guitar that you are not using, that would be a perfect donation! Mr. Beatty said they are also in need of small hand drums, shakers, tambourines, etc.

The school does not need violins or recorders.

Here is what is needed the most:

• Electric or Acoustic guitars - preferably child sized, but either is good.
• Amplifiers
• trumpets
• trombones
• clarinets
• any other wind instruments
• hand drums
