In most cases, it is preferable to go to a Walk-In Clinic. If you have an urgent problem, call 911 or get to one of the hospitals listed here:

Tip: If you live in the West end of Ottawa, we have found that sometimes it is quicker to visit the Almonte General Hospital (Directions and info here). Serious emergencies will always take precedent over minor medical issues. But, we have found that many times we have been able to see a doctor here with very little wait time.

How long will you wait to see a doctor?

Wait times can vary dramatically at walk-in clinics around the city. We have found that on average it takes about 30-90 minutes to see a doctor. But, sometimes the wait can be quite long.
