Beaverbrook, Kanata
The Beaverbrook community is one of the original neighbourhoods in the city of Ottawa and was almost entirely agricultural until it was developed in the 1960's. It was named after the Beaverbrook Park. The neighbourhood is almost entirely English speaking. A highly sought after part of Beaverbrook is Village Green which was developed after 1999 and has quick access to Highway 417.

Recreational Opportunities
The Beaverbrook community has many opportunities for residents to participate in sports and other recreational events. There are baseball diamonds, basketball courts, an outdoor pool, outdoor rinks, play structures, tennis courts, sports fields and two sledding hills all available for residents of all ages to enjoy. Each Tuesday evening in the park there is informal soccer held where kids can come and play for a small donation.
Future Developments
The community is currently working on rezoning 100 Varley Lane in order to build a five storey retirement residence on the location.
